This webinar is based on the recently-released report, A Roadmap to Reducing Child Poverty, and features two of the report’s authors, Hilary Hoynes and Robert Moffitt. The report, commissioned by Congress and produced by the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, is a comprehensive study of child poverty in the United States. In the webinar, Hoynes and Moffitt review the research on the linkages between child poverty and child well-being, give an overview of the effectiveness of current assistance programs, and discuss policy and program recommendations that could reduce the number of children in poverty in the United States by half within 10 years.
