Denia Garcia is assistant professor of public affairs at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Garcia’s research examines the role of space and organizations in shaping how inequalities are experienced and reproduced. She uses qualitative and quantitative methods to study diverse neighborhoods, participatory budgeting, and skin color and racial stratification.
